Any mid-range MTB frame is capable of supporting far more weight than you can imagine. Finding the right mix of components doesn't take much work either. And yes, the Giant comfort series bikes have incredibly strong frames, and double wall rims as well. While not built for off road, they can support a lot of weight.

I don't need a link. I have 25 years on the front lines of the the bike industry dealing with retail customers . From huffy owners to litespeed and back again.

Do fat or big people have unusually wide sit bones?
This question has nothing to do at all with my comments.

Have you ever seen a bent seat stay?
Why yes. but always due to an accident, not at all related to rider weight. Why do you ask ?

A "Soft" seat post? Do I need to round up all my fat forum friends so they can tell you how wrong you are?
Soft posts ? what in the world are you babbling about ? Have I seen small diameter 13/16 or 7/8" steel and / or alloy posts bend that were raised to their max height limit bend under people of all weights ? YES. have I seen it occur more frequently as the weights increase ? You know it.

Have I seen people over 200 lbs riding ultra light 100 dollar posts made of killer thin wall easton aluminum bend before during and after the warranty period ? Oh yeah, and that thing was creaking with pain on many a ride before failure as well.

Do you need to round up fat forum friends ? You disgust me with your derogatory comments. I am overweight. You aren't going to "round" me up. and I am not your friend. You insult me. JERK.
