The solution a shop would do is to replace the brake cable with a longer one. While I haven't seen any of these CNCed cable carriers break/crack i suppose they could. I run cantis on a few bikes and use the traditional carrier styles, like the DC one linked to. I will say that the straddle cable holding set screws are nice. There are times when It is needed to run the carrier off center (to pull one canti more then the other).
But back to the OP's problem. Just replace the cable and leave more tail past the carrier next time. Andy.
