To the OP - I hope you get better, I remember when I did an endo after a car passed and stopped abruptly, I still have a 1 inch long scar on my chin. I can't imagine the kinetic energy the impact must have carried.

Here in Florida, there is generally a better acceptance of cyclists, but there are still those that pass real close or try to push you out of the way on stops.
