Right crank 175, Left 172.5 will it work?

My last several rides I have been getting left lateral knee soreness, due to lack of flexibility in my left hamstring. Right feels great. This is after raising my seat to a better height. I am stretching that left leg like crazy to get some better flexibility, but is a slow process. So, I am thinking that since my cranks can be adjusted (Look 695) why not just change the left side one notch temporarily, and try riding and see if I still get the soreness. Anyone every try this before? I am guessing it would be like wedging one foot and not the other.
