If it had 130k, it might have been worn out already and a little slipping pushed it over the edge. Depends on the way it was driven, I have 160k on the clutch in my Blazer and it's fine.
Seems like a lot of money, but it would cost about that much here to do a Chevy fwd clutch. Probably cheaper at an independant shop if you knew one you could trust.
