Here's a couple of ideas for you:
Consider Vegetarianism - if you eat a plant based diet, losing weight is almost automatic if you eat thoughtfully.
Supplement bike riding with spin classes - I've been spinning for about a year, usually around 4 times per week in addition to my bike riding and it really helps. Burns calories and raises metabolism plus kills appetite.
If you become gungho about physical fitness, weight loss is sure to follow. I'm maintaining 210 (within 15 pounds of ideal) and eating everything I want. Soon to be 70 and still able to do a century.
