Why do people feel the need to put the words "the" and "thread" in the titles of threads?

This is like calling a Honda Accord "The Honda Accord Car".

The title of this thread should be "Quick Questions" not "The Quick Questions Thread".

Now, in order to refer to this thread, we must say, "Please visit the 'The Quick Questions Thread' thread." as opposed to us saying, "Please visit the 'Quick Questions' thread."
