I have a B.A. in Art. I do some free-lance art work, but up until last summer I worked as a senior account supervisor in a call center ( not telemarketing ). I had a 3 mile round trip commute that I stretched further and further. I was over-worked, under-paid and working for a pitiful company that treated employees with absolute disrespect. I quit that job.
I now now work for the "largest rural health care facility in the country" as an Administrative Assistant. The job is simple. I have a 24 mile round trip commute. Most of my co-workers (and my husband and son) think I'm crazy for riding to work. They assume I can't drive and are shocked when I tell them I do own a car and can legally drive it.
