Okay I'll play. I have a bachelors degree in biochemistry and used to work in biotech. Just recently the company that I worked for told me, and over a hundred others, that our services were no longer needed and so I am currently unemployed. But when I had a job, I had the luxury of showers, lockers and even an onsite cafeteria. The commute was 5 miles to work if I really needed to get to work fast or if I just didn't care if I got killed by a car. But usually I took the safer route that was 12-15 miles each way.
Now as I am searching for a new job, I keep the commuting lifestyle in mind. How far would the commute be, traffic issues, showers and stuff like that. Really helps remind me of just how good I had it.
