Thanks to all for the response and great suggestions. I like the rope idea and will get some in the event there is a tree limb near by, and if not first attempt will be to hold the bike upright until rear wheel is dropped and then lay bike on its side chain up, or if necessary lay the bike on its side chain up to remove the wheel.
