Hi all,

I will be buying my first dedicated road bike in the Spring. My budget is about $1,000. My local bike shop that I deal with for commuting recommended a CAAD8 or a CAAD10. He has a CAAD8 (Sora) in stock for about $700.
And, he said they might have a CAAD10 for around $1,200 or so. They are both last years model.
So, I was curious as to how much better the CAAD10 is for the extra $500?
I was first looking at a Specialized Allez, but he personally felt that the CAAD8 or 10 would be a more comfortable ride. I am planning on taking them all for a spin in the Spring when the time is closer to help decide.
