Thanks for the tip. I just started reading it and have found it interesting so far. Yes, there's quite a bit of religion, but the first part talks about his tour down the coast to San Francisco which I've ridden as well so it's interesting to compare my recollections with his. And it turns out I even bumped into him on one of my short tours. On page 68 he mentions stopping at Cooks Station on the way up to Carson Pass and talking to a bike tourer coming down from the Pass after riding for awhile with the Bike4Peace group - that was me (although he gets some of the details wrong). I remember having an extended talk with him about his plans and mentioning that he'd probably catch up to the B4P folks who were struggling a bit on their cross-country trip - which he did on page 79.
