Bikes: Surly Ogre, Extrawheel Trailer

My bike has a 203mm front disk and a 160mm rear (both the max allowable for my frame specs)
Its my first bike with disks and I like them very much.
I decided on cable disk brakes and went with Avid BB7's for reliability.
I'm middleaged and a little old school in my thinking.
I dont have carbon anything on my bike as I dont trust it.
I've only recently started using alloy seatposts and stems.
I gaze at my alloy handlebars with distrust and will likely swap them at some stage for some Ti bars as a compromise, just for the peace of mind.

I've just spent a few minutes thinking about your question and the answer is not in a million years would I look at a carbon fork with disk brakes as I dont think the technology is there yet.
The steel fork on my disk braked Surly Ogre weighs a tonne as even steel is pushing boundaries with the torsional forces at work whilst braking a loaded touring bike with a disk.
The disks work exceptionally well I might add.
Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)

Oh and the Ogre fork offset is 43mm
