It sounds like the squeak is coming from the 3 speed hub. I've lubed around the hub, but I can't seem to get the little rubber cap off it to put oil inside. Do I need to put oil inside? Could that be the problem?

What i've deduced:
1). It's not the brake rubbing against the wheel. I messed around with those for ages so that they weren't rubbing.

2). It's not the pedals since the squeak persists even when i'm not pedalling.

Any help would be great. I can post pictures too if you like.
You don't mention the brand of the hub, but the rubber cap you speak of suggests it may be a Sram i-Motion 3? I don't know if the rubber cap is stationary or rotates with the hub, but if it's stationary that would be my prime suspect. Work a little grease into the lip where it rides on the hub shell.
