It could be cracked or, I tossed this one in my vibratory tumbler with walnut shells impregnated with polishing rouge for a day or more to see what would happen. Basically nothing, except to make it look worse.

I'll check the area and if it is cracked, I'll administer last rights and immediately euthanize it in order to make certain it stays out of the C&V supply chain.
