chains with a screw? SWEET!

so i've been tweaking my ride to get it 'just so' for a while now and i'm always thinking what a pain in the arse it is to remove the chain to clean it. i just read that something like 90% of chain failures occur where a chain pin has been removed and improperly put back in. the next most frequesnt time to break one is when the chain is moving from one gear to another, and that won't be a proble here, obviously.

i see some of the NJS chains have a machine screw in a link to facilitate easy chain removal. SWEET! do any of you have experience with these? they are a bit pricey compared to the crappy SRAM-1 i am running now, but i may as well spend the cash on bikes because if i don't i'll just use it for drugs and alcohol. the gold links look pretty sweet too, as do the all black ones.

other than strength do they offer any other benefits? how much smoother do they run than the SRAMS? i'm only 170lbs so i won't be breaking a 1/8 inch chain anytime soon.

comments?

thanks!
