All the parts I need done include the frame, fork, and two rims. I don't want to pay a lot, I've looked around and most places do around $250-$640+, but I'm looking for under $150 that includes everything I mentioned. It would be great if this place had experience with painting bicycles before so I know they know what they're doing. I'm working on a pretty amazing project right now (restoring my 1988 Trek 1200 road bike) and this would just be the cherry on top to have it professionally done. And don't mention DIY. I have already tried that... and well... now I'm asking where to have it professionally painted so you can guess how it turned out haha. Thanks! Oh AND I have decals so those will need to go on too, so I probably will need a clear coat.
I've used Byers Bush in Mississauga a couple of times. I wouldn't say they did a great job. They were kind of sloppy with the masking and ended up with a couple of spots that didn't get full coverage.
Their rates vary by colour. White or black is best, because they are always running those colours, so you won't be dinged with a setup charge. If you want another colour, you can wait until they are running a big job in that colour, or you can pay the setup charge which will just about double your price.
I paid a hundred bucks for a frame and fork.
I'm going to shop around for my next project though, because like I said, they did not impress. There is another one in Mississauga near where I work. Simba Powder Coating on Atlantic.
http://www.simbapowder.com/ I might give them a try.
