So back to spinning and being bored, as usual, I reached down and put one finger on the front tire and another on the brake caliper. With each pedal stoke I could feel the front wheel pulse back and forth. Couldn't see it move but could feel it. No way I understand all this but since the rear is not moving (Cyclops trainer does not move and bike is locked in, front wheel is on a raiser block) the front end must be absorbing the power impulses I'm applying to the frame - gotta go somewhere. I can envision most of that being transmitted to the front wheel - absorb and release. I'm glad my front end can flex a bit and absorb that. I wonder what is going on if the back end AND the front end is locked down.

Beats me..... I really should think about something else, eh? 5 degF again tonight. How long until April?
