Bikes: Kuota Kredo/Chorus, Trek 7000 commuter, Trek 8000 MTB and a few others

So, let me get this straight. My 7 speed FR550 hub won't take a 9 speed cassette? I guess this is the deciding factor as I'm not going to replace the hub on a wheel I just rebuilt, although a 9 speed hub would have been a good idea.
