I find this interesting. Prefaced with the fact that I don't spend a lot of time on other forums, I think for the most part moderation on BF is pretty light handed.

IMHO, it's all about signal to noise ratio. Too little moderation and the noise drowns out the signal. Too much moderation and you unintentionally choke off the signal.

While it has ebbed and flowed, I think the moderation here for the most part has struck a good balance.
