I'm looking forward to seeing how much this bike ends up weighing, but i'm sure it will be a smidgen lighter than my TCR Comp. Wheels and components alone is a nice savings of close to 800-900g, and I believe the frame is a good 150g lighter minimum....so that should be a bit over a 2lb savings (not that it will make a difference in my riding as i'll probably be just as slow haha

). I honestly never figured out how much my stock Comp 1 weighed so i have no idea what this new build will come in at weight wise. Would 15.5 lbs be realistic?
Yes I think it is very possible. Say your frame is 150g heavier than mine but I have weight penalty on the wheels. Since I have a powermeter on my rear wheels I am up almost half a pound on that alone. Plus I have Chro mo pedals and Dura Ace. I think Force is slightly lighter than DA(?) and if you go for something like Dura ace shallow clichers you should have a 250g adv over my wheels. That being said I think 15lbs is pretty light but very achievable nowadays. This time and age 13 pounds is a weight weenie build and that would cost some money and durability issues. 15lbs is light but nothing too crazy.
The initial weigh in for mine was 15.88. I want to go under 15 though. And I hope I get closer to that goal by switching spindles to titanium (-56g), lighter tubes (-100g +/-), the current saddle is after the weigh in (-50g). When the bar tape goes bad go to 2mm (-30g). All that is a bunch of money that really is kinda wasted but if you replace as you go it's not bad.
Here is a glossary of weights by parts.
Frame with ISP and fork, 1300g
Pedals Zero Chromo - 216g
Michallin pro4 pair - 400g
Specialized toupe pro saddle - 148g
Giant Contact SLR bar 42cm - 200g
Giant OD 2 Stem - 130g
Giant Tubes with extended stem - 260g (?)
Dura Ace 9000 - 2016g
Enve SES Smart 3.4 w. powertap hub - 1593g
Fizik 3mm thick performance bar tape - 100g (?)
Enve Titanium Skewers - 61g
Rim tape + brake pads - ?
K Edge GPS mount - 30g
Blackburn CF bottle cage - 28g
6482g total for the build plus a few nuts and bolts and mine is still slightly above 15 pounds. I think what makes up for that extra pound is the seat clamp which is heavy as fudge!
Anyways. I went on a roll here but I enjoy counting numbers and such
