Reynolds says Enve uses their compound and it's the same pad. I've used both and they work quite well. The new SS pad is supposed to be very good.
The Black Prince pads are indeed very good. I've had one scary case of wishing they had more bite on a downhill corner that I took wrong. That has happened on aluminum rims as well, on occasion, so I can't say they're any worse. Certainly nothing like the stories I've heard from the past.
I haven't ridden the Rails in the rain, though.
