Yes, you are correct that they were mostly BMX bikes with sidecars. These seemed to be everywhere in the Visayas in the Philippines. I didn't see any centered tricycles, but I did see an occasional centered three-wheeled motorized mini-transporter. Most of the motorized transporters were made with a small motorcycle and a sidecar attached to the right. And yes, they do drive on the right.
