FWIW I just upgraded from an iPhone to a GalaxyS3 mini and battery life still sucks. Must charge every single day, although I'd probably be able to go 1.5 days between charges, it is the .5 day that is a problem. I do not yet have a spare charge cable for work or a car charger, like that will do me any good once it is warm enough for me to once again bike commute. Jersey pocket for all but CX racing works fine for me. Had plenty of crashes and phones have survived. Option not mentioned yet is bibs and the back pocket.
