I was in the same boat, I actually bought a Domane 4.5 for a lot cheaper than the current 4.7 and except for the 11 speed, it is functionally equivalent to the current 2014 4.7.
I did have some extra xmas bonus cash leftover so I did replace that R565 crank and the 105 brakes for the heck of it though
What crankset did you switch to and how's it feel compared to the R565? I'm debating doing the same but not sure if I'll really notice anything different.
