Why take a chance on a narrow tire if you don't have to though?

Otherwise think about a Strada Bianca or a T-Serv. Heck, even a Pasela is fine for that.
I have done these sorts of rides with Paselas but their sidewalls are so fragile. Normally I would go with a wide road tire but this route may get steep and some tread may be necessary.
