Very impressive from a technology perspective! OTOH, my road bike comes in at 14lbs. Without looking too hard, I can see that I could take 8lbs of 'ballast' off of my body - without spending $45,000!


That said, there is probably a lot of trickle down from some of those components. Just like in high-end audiophile components, the stupid-expensive stuff eventually makes real-world equipment better for the rest of us.
