I remember riding an old step thru balloon tire coaster brake bike and various 20" bikes over the years and I never remember have a coaster brake fail or fade. Or their chain broke so they had no ability to stop.
Please let me know how often someone here has had this happen and how bad was the crash.
And I don't want any stories about your cousin's brothers best friend's uncle who rode alpine hill climbs, just what happened to you
I have at least 10 coaster brakes bikes,,i ride coaster brakes all the time up to 30 miles at time, my entire family rides them,,never heard of that happening,,you probably will get hit by a meteor first.
Reign in your imagination and have fun riding.
