Last night, rush hour. Heading towards a busy intersection (Madison and Halsted), messenger bag full of groceries. The light turns red and I start to do a little skip to slow down and my right leg goes flying off the pedal and off to the side like a bad karate kick. Not sure how I stopped, but I did it in a very short distance or I would've been toast. I look down and the toestrap was broken in two. And they weren't that old either. Why are double straps so expensive? I might put those SPD's back on there...
