I find that long tiring rides really mess with my diet because I want to eat everything that isn't nailed down when I'm done (when I'm tracking what I'm doing...I need to start again). Shorter rides that don't really mess with my system seem more beneficial, so share your findings if you don't mind!
PS I liked the water bottles - I hate tap water in this state. I skipped the gatorade this year and just used those little camelback/nuun tablets, worked great, tasted great. Did Arrowhead sponsor the ride or something?
I dumped the ride into my garmin 800 - no wrong turns, but I did notice that at least one arrow was messed-with pointing in a different direction.

You'd think a temporary stop sign or two at those intersections would do wonders on event day. Asking cyclists to cross 60 mph traffic is looking for trouble. My wife and kids rode the 25 mile ride and they had cops everywhere. For the most part, I think the only intersections I saw cops on were within the boundaries of the shorter ride.
