And, in your esteemed estimation, what would his best course of action be, just buy new bottles of ProLink and expect (hope) they don't leak?
I'm sorry I wasn't clear. A single bottle leaking can be a fluke. A pattern of leakage with a certain product means the caps and bottles aren't matched, and buying more won't necessarily help.

In any case, the OP has almost unlimited options (besides changing his chain lube). Most of us use and routinely discard bottles which would solve his problem, and I favor reuse over purchasing a new bottle because it's less wasteful. Or he can do as you did, and ask his pharmacist for a bottle, or buy travel bottles, or scrounge one from someone else.

It really isn't that hard to find a bottle that would work. It's probably harder to find one that wouldn't.

BTW- I use different bottles and caps than ProLink does. As do Finish Line, Rock N' Roll, Pedros, and just about all the bike chain lube companies. I don't think any two of us uses the same bottles or caps. Most of us have no or few issues with leakage, so if ProLink does, it's a solvable problem of their own creation.
