Probably in relation to putting on leather saddles. Looked at the MSDS sheets on their website, as Repechage suggested, I didn't see anything evil. But the ingredients were not listed.

And yes, asking prices on Binda straps are often unconscionable. Ridiculous is right. But for anyone interested, here is what I think is a pretty darned good price. Expensive, yes, but these are truly very scarce, in this old logo configuration.
