I drive a dodge caravan and have always just layed my bike in the back...of course i have my back seat out. Sometimes when i'm not lazy i'll take the front wheel off just to make things easier. My dad has a piece of wood with two fork mounts on it he puts in the back of his tundra that works nicely, of course he has a bed cover so you have to tilt the bikes slightly.
