I'm thinking that could be a possibility, Chuc. I did over-shift into the spokes, once, back last April.
It's just that when I saw that those riveted heads had been hit on one side, I assumed that the freewheel was to blame. Thinking about what Bill said, I am entertaining the idea that my one over-shift roughed up all those spokes, but I am inclined to agree with Coug's, assessment of the TZ20: It's 180g lighter than my Suntour, but no way. I threw it out.
