I'm a big hour guy, but it hasn't translated into results. I've had many 12 - 15hr weeks and that's been during race season. My fault us that I really enjoy riding my bike. Add in the fact it takes 30-45min to get to suitable roads for workouts and the hours pile up.

I think that's part of the issue, there's been so much going on in my life the last few years and the bike time has helped me deal with it... Or maybe not deal with it....
I love big hours, I just feel much more solid on the bike (even on a bad day) when I have lots of miles in my legs. Part of it is I like riding my bike too - not just suffering for 90 minutes and calling it a day. The key is knowing when to do big hours and when to cut back and up the intensity.
