Acid bath the frame to reduce the wall thickness, then wash out with alkaline solution.

Don't laugh (at least too much).

A race car champion back in the 70s was so determined to win a championship, he carefully had all the panels on the vehicle acid-bathed to reduce their weight (substantially). And he won (and the car was a very smart presentation in and of itself).
