Thanks for the responses and suggestions everyone!

@Crescent Cycle: Thanks for the break down in the dimensions. To be honest I haven't even rode my new bike because they had to order it (and I had to buy it before they would get it in the store) and it won't be here till next week. I went back and looked over the numbers and I feel that you're right, because of it's smaller head tube the Terry is probably not the bike for me either. I tried going down to a M size to fit based on top tube in certain models and it makes for a really tight cock pit. I felt like at the top of the pedal stroke my knees were going to hit my arms and the seat post was at the maximum height. Basically I felt like a bear on a trike lol! I looked at the geometry of the Fuji again and it's really comparable to the Trek FX 7.2 22.5" that I was thinking about getting and actually liked how it felt. It actually has a longer head tube than the FX! Out of all the bikes I rode, it just felt "right" somehow. As you can tell being upright is kind of important to me, I don't have to be bolt upright but I want to be able to take in the view, observe nature, etc. For me, the reason I wanted the bike is so I can get out and take it all in (and the exercise).

@jyl: I haven't been riding ANY bike for awhile . This will be the first bike I've had in 10+ years. I might be biting off more than I can chew by selecting the road bike but I feel like giving myself a challenge. Not to mention I don't want to get the hybrid and out grow it, thus wasting money. (I know some will say N+1 but my apartment and wallet can only handle N.) I will admit that I think it is partially just a learning curve. The sensation of the road bike is different than the mountain bike I had as a kid. I might just be over-analyzing as usual but I hate having buyer's remorse.

Again thanks for all your opinions, sometimes just writing things out and bouncing my thoughts off people helps .
