Pardon the advice, but if your head hit the ground throw the helmet away and get a new one. Bike helmets are like motorcycle helmets - if you're head's in it when it impacts and you survived it did it's job and it's done. Advice over.
38F and rain with a nasty headwind. The afternoon prediction is for 25-45mph winds, if they're in the same direction it'll be a fun ride home! If they're not, well, I'm not going there
