How could I use climbing to improve TTing?

I love TTs and my goal for this year is to get as close as possible to a sub-hour 40k on a road bike.

I also enjoy climbing and have a chance to do some climbing (~a week to 10 days) in the Himalayan foothills. I'm not a good climber and I've been working on getting better at it. My goal usually on climbs, long ones especially, is to finish them without having to stop. I usually ride a pace (tempo in my case) that allows me to do this.

Now, to my real question, is there a way I could use the days in the mountains to help my sub-hour 40k goal? Like perhaps ride threshold or a higher cadence?

If it matters, I'm a slightly big guy with about 20 pounds to lose. I currently weigh 185 lbs.
