So I have opinions on my training plans for this next block... I'm worried I might be overreaching a bit.
Important background info: I had two base blocks, with the second averaging 13hrs/week, mainly high z2 with some z3 rides.
Next week plan: (9hrs)
M: 1hr low z4 (medium-hard)
T: 2hrs with 2x20s (hard)
W: 2hrs light tempo (medium)
Th: off
F: 1hr MTB at lunch (easy)
S: 3hrs group ride (hard)
Su: off
Does that seem reasonable? In all likelihood I will give it a shot and see how I feel starting the next week. I may choose to swap the tempo ride for z1/2, or the group ride for solo z2. The following two weeks will see a similar schedule, with an extra hour added over the weekend to each.
