The stint had sutures (Long threads) tied to the end of it. Those threads hung out the end of "Godzilla". A week later the urologist or his nurse takes hold of those threads and pulls it straight out. The very first time that happened to me my urologist said, "You may feel some discomfort." When he pulled I came up about 3 feet off the table. My last procedure I had two, one in each ureter, but, only one stint had the sutures the other did not. The doc said they would get tangled in the bladder. He pulled one out after a week. The following week he stuck a scope into "Shaquille" and fished it out, no anesthesia. I soaked the end of "Leviathan" in Lidocaine to help numb the point of entry, but that really didn't help much.
