I can see why you are confused but I can promise you it was an over torque chainset and the axle was way too long for the width of the CAAD10 bb shell. That's what alerted me to the issue.
The shop spoke to the distributor who confirmed that I needed to fit some press in cups to make it work with BB30 frame.
