I saw the courses were released today, but I haven't given them a good look yet. The pre-course release said cobbles would be included. Since you live in Richmond, are the courses on fairly rideable roads when open to traffic? (i.e. is there a lot of traffic, stoplights, or not so much?) I would like to ride all of the courses if I get to come out. I've been spreading the word to my cycling friends. I'll be sending a text to a friend who knows most of the local riders and asking the LBS and university cycling club down the stretch if anyone plans on going. I'd love to load up a van with people and bikes and spend a week out Richmond in September.
I'm not worried about the 16 1/2 hour drive. I'm just worried about the gas I need to keep the car running and the money for lodging. I'll look into more options tomorrow. I've only looked at the official hotel stuff as of right now. It'll be an expensive trip. At this point 5 days out there will cost more than the 14 days I stayed in Colorado, unless I can locate some free or cheaper places to stay.
I'd love to come out in May for Collegiate Nationals, but I'll be finishing up finals week at that point, and possibly be heading into my own championship race. I'll just plan on skipping school for a week in September 2015 though
