New poster, though long-time lurker.
I have just received a new Miche 1/8" Track Sprocket. It has lines and scratches all over it, please see photo. Will this affect the performance, or wear my chain down quickly? Should I return it to the shop, or am I just asking too much of a botton-of-the-range sprocket?
The actual teeth are OK.

They're not scratches, that's just what they look like on the underside. You can't expect jewelry quality machining of a $12 cog.
It's perfectly fine.
