Allows 130 road or 135 MTB. Either will work,but you'll find 135 is more common so you'll have more choices.
For gearing,plug the numbers for your old bike into
Sheldon's calculator,then compare to your new build. 39/26 with 20" wheels is fairly low,so you prolly won't have issues. You could always go with an 11-28 cassette if you need to get lower.
