Au contraire - the 55 and I are very intimate. I have no plans to do anything other than to keep riding and maintaining/upgrading her.

The Santana is the one that's up in the air. I stripped the ultra cool parts off (Zero G brakes, Keo pedals) in anticipation of going on the Tete and I recently sold the AC 350's and replaced them with a new set of Mike Garcia's. Basically, while it was a great climber, it wasn't much good at anything else. So, I will be rebuilding it as a general use bike - going from 15 to 16.5 pounds. I'll ride it through the winter and make a decision on what to do with it sometime in the new year. My hope is that it will offer enough of a difference and improvement to actually keep. I can't deny it's a beautiful frame but I may be too old for aluminum, even if it is Scandium.

As for the Tete - the intent was to have a special event, once-in-awhile ride. Though it technically will fill the same shoes as the 55, it'll do so in a very different way.

And, it will be my true OCP bike.
