Flexibility issues can cause the scootching too. Or you may still be to stretched out, or could be to low of a position. You need to pay attention to what feels fatigued before you scootch forward and adjust acourdingly.
One of my problems, (we don't have space for the whole list) is a week core. I would pull myself forward so I could support myself with my arms and shoulders. After a few weeks of planks every morning. No more sore shoulders, snd my reach was comfortable.
