if it were me, i'd run them at what i wanted to run them at. if i didn't like the look of the profile or something else that i thought could only be rectified by more or less PSI than recommended, well... i might get rid of them and look for something else, more likely i'd run them to the cords, then buy something else, unless i really liked them. if so, then i'd just buy another set.
i suspect the manufacturer's marketing department is behind this... why? because they convinced management it would sell more tires, what else?
