The specialized in the 1st pictures is set up wrong, actually the guy is almost certain that looks like a bear riding a 50cc motorcycle, the other problem is that almost all the stuff you find in CL has the same problem, short guys ins 60+ road frames set up like hybrids.

You have to add that like 80 % of the medium to low end spech and trek road bikes they produce are basically hybrid city bikes disguised as road bikes, then add that some guys have the idea getting bikes based in the seat tube and add too all of that the situation that a store wont care, the guy likes such and such, is such and such what the guy will get, so to resume you end up like with 90% if not more of the population riding with the wrong position and in the wrong bike.

You can't go against that more than ignore it and get more picky in the bikes you might pick for yourself.
