I have a couple bib shorts, I love 'em and probably won't ever wear any other type of short ever again. I lean towards my Velowear bib shorts mostly but I have a pair of Nashbar bib shorts also and they are very comfy.

I wear a jersey over it and that's all...well, besides the chest strap for my HRM.
